Steadfast Joins the Launch of the Peterborough Youth Employment Hub

On Thursday, 6th November, Steadfast was proud to attend the official launch of the new Peterborough Youth Employment Hub, hosted at the Peterborough (POSH) Football Ground. This exciting new initiative will provide young people aged 16–24 with a single, accessible space to receive careers guidance, skills development, job-matching support, and wellbeing services—all under one roof.

Designed to break down barriers and make support easier to access, the Hub brings together a range of partners including Jobcentre Plus, local youth organisations, and programme delivery partners such as Steadfast. By combining expertise and resources, the Hub represents a major step forward in tackling youth unemployment and helping young people secure meaningful work, training, or education opportunities.

The launch event was officially opened by Pat McFadden, Secretary of State for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and MP, alongside Paul Bristow, Mayor for the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA). Their support highlights the significance of the Hub as a flagship investment in the future of young people across the region

A wide range of partners, stakeholders, and young people attended the event—rightly placing young voices at the centre of the day. For Steadfast, this marks an important opportunity to deepen our impact.

We will be supporting the Hub by providing skills development and Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) twice a week, using funding from the CPCA to ensure young people have the tailored support they need to move forward confidently.

The Peterborough Youth Employment Hub is more than a service—it’s a gateway to opportunity. Steadfast is thrilled to play a part in its launch and ongoing delivery, helping to empower the next generation across our community.
