Reflecting on Adult Learners Week

This week was Adult Learners Week, (fun fact – adult learners week began in 1992) which is a chance for individuals to continue the growth in their learning. It’s almost like a celebration of lifelong and lifewide learning and an opportunity to discover your passion. It allows you to further your knowledge and your skillset, and is a reminder to ‘never stop learning’.

As the week is coming to a close, you should all take a moment to reflect on what you’ve learned and the growth that you have achieved. Embrace the opportunity you had to discover your passion for learning, brush up on your skills, improve your health and wellbeing, progress your career and ultimately to just learn something more or even new.

A way in order to finish off the week with a celebration is by reflecting on what you managed to accomplish and what you’re planning on accomplishing following on from this week.

Regarding this, some questions that you could ask yourself are:

  • Did I enjoy learning something new?
  • Do I want to learn more?
  • Am I going to continue learning?
  • Do I want to explore something different to what I’m used to?

If the answer is yes to any of those questions, then you should strive for success and go for it!

As Steadfast Training’s mission statement is ‘Growing your potential’, which is reflected in our learners, it was very pleasant to see quite a few of our staff partaking in Adult Learners Week by doing a course which we offer. Some of the courses completed were:

  • Introduction to Fraud and Fraud Prevention
  • Managing Conflict
  • GDPR
  • And Fire Safety

Those who took part in these courses thoroughly enjoyed them and you can too!

Now it’s your turn, if you have something you would like to share from Adult Learners Week (or even in general) then don’t be afraid to get into contact with us!
