Steadfast Training is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners. We recognise our responsibility to create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment where learners feel protected, valued and able to raise concerns without fear. The Governors Board and all staff share this commitment.
Safeguarding is embedded across all aspects of our provision and reflects current UK legislation and statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education and the Prevent Duty. We take a proactive approach to identifying, reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns, including risks relating to abuse, neglect, exploitation, radicalisation and extremism.
Through the Prevent Duty, Steadfast Training works to proactively protect learners being drawn into terrorism by promoting British Values, encouraging critical thinking, and supporting learners to recognise and challenge extremist views in a safe and appropriate manner.
All staff receive regular safeguarding and Prevent training to ensure they understand their responsibilities, can identify potential concerns, and know how to act promptly and appropriately. Learners are supported to develop the knowledge and confidence needed to keep themselves and others safe, both in training and in wider life.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are available to lead on all safeguarding and Prevent matters and act as the first point of contact for learners, staff and external agencies. Concerns are taken seriously, handled sensitively, and escalated in line with our safeguarding and Prevent procedures.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we remain firm in our commitment to keep our learners and staff safe.
